was suggesting the probable downward trajectory of the Clemson baseball program after the firing of Coach Jack Leggett. And how, although I like Monte Lee, that it was possible that Lee peaked in his first season with Coach Leggett's talent. The first reply that post recieved was from someone name David Hood and was simply "Is this serious?" That reply was followed by several of your regular posts referring to me as a coot. Well, here we are. Unranked in the preseason top 25 in year 5 of Monte Lee's tenure and so far his best season was his first which happened to be with Leggett's talent. So yes Mr. Hood, that was serious. And no anyone else, I am not a coot. Here is to hoping Monte gets things turned around and surprises a lot of people this season. I will be in the stands pulling for them. But very hard to believe we fired a hall of fame coach for this.

If Lee wins 19 games this year, he will have a better record in his first 5 years than Leggett did in his last 5. Lee also had a better record in year 3 than in year 1. Of course, I'm sure we would all like to see more postseason success though. Let's see how things go a bit before crying about how bad we are because of a preseason poll.

Post more during the season. We'd enjoy reading them. I'm hoping for a great season in 2020. He has the talent and I would love to see him succeed at Clemson. Because, if he does, then Clemson is winning!! Go Tigers!!
