any other Tiger fans have experience quitting caffeine?

Sep 22, 2020, 2:41 PM

The irritability and headaches are one thing, but if I do not get some sleep soon I worry that this may kill me.

Yeah if you quit cold turkey you’ll be in for some pain. Should only last for about a week or two then your body will adapt to not having it anymore.

it has been pretty bad, i am going to have a cup of coffee now to take the edge off. when i quit drinking alcohol I transfered one addiction to another and started drinking eight cups of coffee a day. This is child's play compared to quitting alcohol, but it sux.

Good luck. I cut back quite a bit some time ago, but I feel you. Headaches and sense of being in a bit of fog were rough. My advice would be to slowly taper off. I was drinking 6-10 cups a day. Now have 2-3 which I still enjoy in the morning. Ugh, you do have my sympathy!!

I think this is the way to go. With alcohol you have to stop cold turkey. After 1/2 a cup I feel MUCH better and feel like I could go to sleep right now..

I was miserable for three days. Hang in there. You will love not being dependent on caffeine in the mornings.

I think caffeine is great. A good cup of coffee in the morning hits the spot. I drink 2 each morning and that is it.

the same time...cold turkey. I am healthier now (8 months later) than I have been in years, but would not recommend the cardiac arrest that gave me the willpower to do it!

My father in law had the widow-maker surgery a year ago. Still can’t eat certain foods or drink certain drinks. He can’t stomach it.
Crazy how that experience turns your whole physiology upside down.
