That’s really bad news. I was counting on the Tigers throwing the ball this season. Another year of “three yards and a cloud of dust” I guess. That’s what happens when you get this powerful offensive line! Where KB when you really need him?

2012, specifically the Peach Bowl:
Hopkins - HOU Watkins - BUF/LAR/KC Humphries - TB/TEN Bryant - PIT/OAK Peake - NYJ Brown - AZ/SEA
The CFA/Peach Bowl that year with LSU had the most future NFL draft picks of any postseason game that year. LSU had Reid, Mingo, Montgomery, OBJ, and Jarvis Landry playing for them.

It was done with a formula and included players since 1998. We weren’t exactly stacked at WR until 2010 or so.

re-posting this for here:
David Hale posted their criteria on twitter:
1) First team All-Conference 2) Consensus First Team All American selections 3) NFL Draft Position 4) NFL Production over first four years.
The rankings started in 1998, so if it'd have been 10 instead of 20, maybe Clemson's ranked higher. Did anyone notice we were #2 for DL?

So honestly we wouldn’t be in the top 10. This article seems a little like click bait to get people riled up for nothing.

Clemson's not making ESPN's Top 10 'WRU' schools...
I like a number of people at ESPN. The company itself - I don't think too much of.
So when they come out with a crazy list like this (and since they're owned 80% by Disney) - doesn't such a list become, in reality, very Mickey Mouse?

THey opened teh article about Clemson and the success at WR. So they are acknowledging that we are producing WRs in the NFL. It's just the metric they are using and that metric goes back for many years . .when we didn't have too many WR propect. The fact that we are mentioned ,and a lot, is good enough for me.

It begs the question whether ESPN is in the top 10 of sports media. We should do our top 10 here.

I think it's pretty sad that Tigernet has to acknowledge the article at all. Sounds so desperate for respect.

None of our current crop of receivers were born when this data collection was started. Just shows you can make stats say anything.

Just a lot of subjective , historical stuff that is set up for the blue-bloods . Clemson IS #WRU , and we all know this well ahead of the curve .

It the time frame -- you do it "Current" or at the end of this decade and you get entirely different results. What has been a staple for us for decades, at least to the short Charlie Pell period, has been DL and this continues obviously. When you think historical Clemson, you don't think WRU and this is NOTHING against what we are doing now - it just takes time folks.

I read this article on ESPN, not being even listed as WRU was a head scratcher.
Easily should've been top 3 given the NFL talent we're producing. Nuk is the best WR in the NFL currently...

when they listed Mark Sanchez, and Matt Leinert as USCs premier QB's that made them "QB U" I still laugh every time I see the "butt fumble" and see all the wins USC had to vacate during leinerts tenure.
