but we need to keep up in state as well--- whether you like him or not, Martin is a good basketball coach and their program is on the rise

I agree with you that we should not allow the chickens to be better than us in anything. Some of our fans making fun of their "wimmens" basketball are probably the same ones who got excited when our women's tennis team make a run in the tournament.
I don't like the fact that neither our men's or women's team is not in the tournament, and it's added punch in the gut to see both their men's and women's programs in the tournament.

I understand what you're saying , but we've beaten them head to head the last 2 years straight .
Would I.love to be playing in the tourney with them ? Yep.
But beating them again this year was also nice .

what's is proven however
is that I am smarter, more logical, more emotionally controlled
than people who don't make themselves aware of the FACTS,
and who's personal ego is largely impacted by the records of sports teams
such that losing by said team causes that person to disrespect other well-meaning people.

Fact: Martin has a proven track record of winning and getting to the NCAAT
Fact: Martin took SCU to the NCAAT this year, and is still playing
Fact: Brownell has been to 1 NCAAT in 7 years
Fact: BB has the 2nd worst winning % amongst "recent" Clemson coaches.
Opinion: BB would win more games in the SEC
Opinion: Martin would not win as many in the ACC
I'm waiting on your FACTS.... proceed.

Brownell coached his team to a home loss in the NIT up by 20 in the second half.
I truly am not sure when our last NCAA tourney win was... Barnes era? And no, I don't count the play in game.

we have returning. They have a stud transfer PG who will be eligible next year. Silva gives them a good post presence.
Yep, they are ahead of us as a program. Can't win in the ACC until we can first consistently beat them again, on the court and in recruiting
