i used to be able to do one allnighter w/ no problem. pretty much expected / got used to 2 per week.
it was when that 1 night stretched to 2 or 3 that things started to get tricky

But my job requires talking to other people and there's little I can do after about 7-8pm. Not much I can do before 8am. My wife can work all night on stuff. I'm limited to emails or correcting reports or office work, otherwise whoever I need to talk to is closed, or asleep. And most of the office work is done 6-8am anyway.

and have been for years, my clients are used to it. The louder people complain the longer it takes for me to complete their project. Once you are pissed, I might as well make the next guy happy and not have 2 pissed people.
Good clients bump everyone else.
