Hangin' with Chad
Chad Morris said even though the Tigers won the division he is upset with the "soft" guard play, lack of energy against Wake and the turnovers. Full Story » |

I like the way he calls it as he sees it. The Chad doesn't pull any punches.

I guess not, maybe they just want to lose a few more games?

I saw uninspired football on Saturday for 3 out of 4 quarters. For the most part, it didn't look like they even wanted to play in Charlotte. I agree with Chad 100%.
I know you guys have worked your butts off all season, but don't go soft now!! Now is when you gotta dig deep and finish this awesome season the best way possible.

A kid sitting behind us even said, "he's only looking at one guy the whole time." true. He was very predictable. I think Chads comment about "could've been six picks" proves that to be true.

According to another website, Caldwell would rather start someone other than McClain as well, but has been overruled.

wow, are you guys serious? This is upsetting to hear. I thought they would put the best guys out there to give them the best chance to win.
Any shot that Gore wins himself a spot on the line next year?

alot of running plays early and often due to them dropping 8 in coverage and we still didn't do that great of a job running it. We ended up ok with 170 plus yards rushing but should of been able to go over 200 easy

What? Someone is asking for the screen?
Nov 14, 2011, 3:59 PM

I thought we fired the screen. Or was that just the bubble screen.
All kidding aside, I think agains WF they had the speed to get out to the bubble screen. I would like to get the ball off the perimeter somehow. I like the play where Watkins comes back up to the top of an "I" type formation except instead of hand off to AE up the middle he should keep and option to Watkins on the edge. I'm sure that is in the works, but just didn't come out in the reads. I agree with Morris that we should be able to run the ball in the interiro against WF and we didn't real effectively.

Coach Morris
Nov 14, 2011, 2:06 PM
|
|
Its by far the best thing that had happened to this coaching staff in a long time. He tells like it is and he is right with everything he stated. The team was lucky to win saturday and even with a win the performance on the field was embarrassing. I hope the players will wake up and realize how special this season can be. 4 more games left in the season lets finish strong and end in a high note and carry the momentum into next season.

Couldn't agree more. Well said. But some of the folks in this community are satisfied with what they saw Saturday which is too bad. We won't win many games playing like that. The Chad gets it. Most people get it. Let's get it right and play like champions.

What I like about Coach Morris is that he doesn't treat the fans like we're stupid. He knows we know what we saw and calls it like it is instead of trying to bury it in a bunch of coach speak.

For "calling it like it is". I haven't seen our O-Line open up any holes all year (ok, maybe a bit of an exaggeration). But c'mon, did you guys see the size of those D-linemen for Wake?? A few of them looked like safeties! We are going to have to step up the effort if we're going to do something special this season. Pass blocking is one thing, but I wanna see us mowing over people to run the ball.

I was surprised with the overall lack of energy and

enthusiasm by the team. Playing to go to the Championship game and Senior day and there was no enthusiasm. I know you can't be up at a peak for 12 games; however, it seems like this game would have been easy to be full of energy. Maybe it was the week off. Maybe it was the opponent. Normally I could be more forgiving; however, there was too much on the line for this game.
