Siriusly, with the 2020 recruits already verbally committed

Dec 17, 2019, 3:29 PM

Does it REALLY matter if we have the ‘Number One Recruiting Class’?

I think not.

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

I like the "Re-rank" rankings better ... Clemson seems to

Dec 17, 2019, 3:41 PM

fair better in those.

We have never had the No. 1 recruiting class but have 3 national championships. Georgia has had several number one classes in the past three decades and no national championships. Appears to me we had better coaching and/or our recruits were vastly underrated.

Clemson is an NFL football factory

...already so I tend to agree. It's fun for fans but it doesn't mean much without great coaching (just ask UGA).

I trust our coaches to properly evaluate talent and then coach it up, whether it be *2, *3, *4, or *5.

The only ranking that matters is post-season.***

It will be OUR highest rated class ever, no matter what.

We've been winning Natty's with supposedly inferior recruits. Sky's the limit now, men!

To me it seems like finishing #1 on the CFP rankings. I’m fine if we aren’t first. Clemson develops as well or better than anyone. Look what we did with a #7 class.

There isn't even a team out

There that can claim half the 5 * commits we have.

Walker Parks and r.j. mickens should be 5 * but never got it. We would have 8 at that point and lsu would be in a not so close second place.

Sure hope we finish first in the CFP rankings. Starting first, however, could not matter less.

Go Tigers!

It's a novel thing this pursuit of such a subjective title .
I think it does indicate though that our program can compete with the bigs on that stage and aside from winning titles on the actual football field we'd look kinda spiffy with a #1 recruiting class headline ... for a week or so until those things mean nothing again .

Now if we had the #53 class ... that would have my attention more than this .
