Very unlikely, I would in real life, but

Apr 30, 2020, 10:02 AM

in the VERY HYPOTHETICAL situation that there are only those three choices, I would probably choose Amash.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Amash if he actually had a path to winning

Apr 30, 2020, 11:25 AM

which he doesn't.

But I wish.

Too late for that 3rd party

Apr 30, 2020, 10:14 AM

Libertarian I’m guessing

I'd admittedly have to do more research on his policy stance

Apr 30, 2020, 10:33 AM

But I somehow doubt he is a true constitutional libertarian.

What’s a republican? Is that some sort of extinct reptile?

Apr 30, 2020, 10:31 AM [ in reply to Isn't he running as a republican?*** ]

I recall a day from my youth when I thought I was one? Are those idealistic memories just childhood fantasies?

Seems now the only place to find conservatives are in library books _ but all the libraries are closed? Who will remember?

2 days ago I’d never heard of Amash

Apr 30, 2020, 10:13 AM

Should I have?

And all I really know now is the Dems worry he’ll just steal the never Trump pub votes away from Biden and the pubs think he’ll steal never Biden dem votes from Trump

You guys have fallen down on the job of keeping me informed

His name become somewhat prominent when he

voted in favor of the President's impeachment in the House, and left the Republican Party. I think it happened in that order.

so probably Justin Amash.

The landscape is ripe for a third party to actually make

Apr 30, 2020, 10:30 AM

some headway for the first time maybe ever. They won't, because they don't have the cash to compete with the red and blue teams. But it'd be nice if a real constitutional libertarian would appear out of nowhere. I'm not optimistic.

We are starting the grassroots movement HERE.

TODAY!

Let's do this!

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The libertarians have gone about it the wrong way forever.

Apr 30, 2020, 10:39 AM

They show up and put some whack job whose only real policy stance is legalizing pot federally, every 4 years for the presidency.

It's got to start in local and state governments nationwide for the party to actually get a chance in any national election.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

GO TIGERS!!

Heard that in 2016 too.

Clearly Amash

Apr 30, 2020, 10:56 AM

Young, sane, and a Constitutionalist. He saw the evil that the Republican Party had transformed into with Trump. Obviously we can't risk four more years of the evil that is Trump, and Biden is too questionably old and seems to be accumulating quite a bit of baggage.

He's got my vote if the election happened tomorrow.

But the GOP and Dems will unite to push him out.

Re: POLL: If you had to vote for one of these three...

Amash has a philosophical dilemma if he is truly a libertarian. He runs he risk taking votes from Trump and putting Joe in office. Joe has radically moved toward the left, he is moving in a direction which is exactly opposite of libertarianism. Amash knows this.

I doubt Amash's sincerity.
