My only complaint is Oklahoma getting 4 1st place votes ahead of a team that waxed them 2 straight years. Did no one from their D grad...uh, leave early or use up their eligibility? I can understand Alabama getting votes.

think you can look at stuff like that very closely when making a ballot. What Clemson did to OU last year is maybe some-what relevant, but the bowl game 2 years ago means absolutely nothing. Trevor Knight was their starting QB, Baker Mayfield was sitting out a year after transferring, and Lincoln Riley was still coaching at ECU. The only players on our defensive 2-deep for that game that are still with the program are Wiggins, Boulware, Tankersley, and Jadar Johnson, and all four of them were backups.
You just have to look at everything. Overall talent level, who is coming back from last year, what kind of replacements are there to step in, trust in the coaching staff, etc.

I think being second behind bama will keep that fire going in our team to be the best and win it all Go Tigers!!! ACC needs to kick some SEC butt opening week and gain some nation respect they seem to never give the ACC other then FSU and just starting clemson!

since they are both fringe top-10 anyway. What's the argument against OU though? Where would you have them? Who WOULD be in your top 10? Even if we did beat OU down in the 2nd half of the OB last year, they were still the 3rd best team in the playoff. That's quite a drop to go from there to not even in the top 10.

Oklahoma , FSU , Tenn, Georgia, Florida all over ranked. Ohio St, Washington , Louisville under ranked. Ok with rest. Boy times have changed. I used to get excited when we received any votes in the preseason under the "Tommies"
