And I found myself shaking my head and thinking, I don't know how every year I find myself respecting and bonding with each team as much as the last. I love this team. And then it was obvious. The constant is Dabo.
I love what he teaches these young men. The constant reminder of how lucky they are to be where they are, the privilege it is to represent Clemson University, and then the follow through with giving back in simple ways that mean so much. Its humbling and touching.
The fact that his teams are also top 15 is truly icing on the cake. We've got an amazing human being leading all of us and reminding us to be our best.

I agree, and dare I say that Dabo will one day be the modern version of Paterno at Penn State (minus the late career scandal). Dabo's personality would be perfectly suited to that type of long-term, community-centered relationship with the school. It would also allow him to suffer through an occasional rebuilding year as needed.
That's my dream scenario anyway.

This is the reason why the media are such idiots-They criticize, mock and insult Dabo and have never bothered to praise him for these things, not to mention recognizing that he was thrown head first into the fire of becoming interim headcoach after a midseason firing and doing what he has done with this program.

Thanks for posting this soywaker.
I would also like to point out that President Clements has done a lot for that program. One game this year, he gave box tickets to the students in the program, and he even gave my aunt a box ticket just because she mentioned to him that she had a daughter in the program. Very classy man, just like Dabo.
