Got my election mail yesterday

May 29, 2020, 8:44 AM

It basically just asks you to check a box if you want an “absentee ballot for all future elections”. Then I just mail it back or take to my local election board office.

I am not sure what all the uproar is about.

Been voting by mail (absentee ballot) since 2000.

Those opposed simply support voter suppression.

It is convenient and often necessary for those who travel or work away from home and have limitations on voting in person. Those limitations may be health, age, access to transportation, caregivers for young or old etc.

Once you do it once, likely to never return to voting in person.

That is my thing....I am rarely home for election day, due to traveling 3 days a week in a typical week, so its really hard for me to get to the poll station. Its not a matter of standing in line for me, that isnt the case, I just am never around to make it happen. Last election, my flight was delayed, I got to the polling station about 20 minutes too late.

And dont even think about me thinking far enough ahead to get an absentee ballot as most of my travel is booked within a 3-4 week time frame.

I am having a hard time seeing what is wrong with this process.

change your vote to Biden.

It's been going on for decades.
