Which Tigers guaranteed their place in College HOF monday?

Jan 10, 2019, 10:01 PM

1. Dabo -- probably already there, but now a first ballot guy
2. Christian Wilkins
3. Hyatt?
4. Clelin?
5. Etienne?
6. CBV?

I don't know if Trevor & Justin locked it in--are there any HOF players for 1 dominant year(?)--but they sure set the stage to cement it next year or 2020.

Offense, defense and special teams.

Are you talking about Clemson HOF?

No football player who has played since 2007 has been inducted into the Clemson HOF. Gains Adams is the one who played most recently. (2006).

Players have to be 5 years out of school and not still playing pro ball. Coaches have to be out of coaching.

A player must have received major first team All-America recognition.
A player becomes eligible for consideration 10 years after his last year of intercollegiate football played.
Football achievements are considered first, but the post-football record as a citizen is also weighed.
Players must have played their last year of intercollegiate football within the last 50 years.
The nominee must have ended his professional athletic career prior to the time of the nomination.
Coaches must have at least 10 years of head coaching experience, coached 100 games, and had at least a .600 winning percentage.

Isn't that Ring of Honor requirements?

Hall of Fame says:
five (5) years after graduation from Clemson University or five (5) years after his/her Clemson athletic eligibility is exhausted. The requirement of graduation from Clemson University may be waived

Sorry, I misread your post. I thought you were talking about induction next Monday, and not just commenting on the NC game. By bad. In that case, I'd say, all of them. :)

I think a few will be inducted to the National College Hall ofFame-not just Clemson, once eligible. I would definitely agree with Dabo, CW42 with 3 All-American seasons +Campbell Trophy. I also think CF99 will make it with 2 AP All-American seasons & the dual Nattys.

Understand what you are saying about the younger players. They are not a lock, but could be with another year or two more like this one

Venables won his third title as DC or co-DC.

Hyatt and Wilkins seem like no brainers.

Dabo is a no brainer.

Etienne is close, but with any kind of normal performance for him next year he's in.

Ferrell is close, as is Bryant and Kendall Joseph.

Trevor and Justyn just have to have good careers from here on and they're in.
