Rhymer with flame bait?

Sep 14, 2006, 9:00 AM

"If we get another injury on defense, somebody on TigerNet will blame John Swofford. It will, no doubt, be a conspiracy to derail Clemson."

That's a new one. Didn't think he'd sink that low to try to get people to read and react to his articles. Instead of substance, he'll go for controversy? C'mon Rhymer...

why are you 'hatin?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

not "hating"

Sep 14, 2006, 9:16 AM

is this psycotiger? Just saying it is flame-bait. He knew it would rile people up to rant about him and that would make people read his article. I know he's not entirely serious, I didn't take the bait, but a ton of others will, and his reason for doing this was to get people to read his article and I don't think he had to, it's a well-enough written article.

article, not sure how you can say he put that in there to get people to read it. If the Headline said that I could understand your point. I think he is just pointing out how stupid TNETTERS can be sometime.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

what i'm saying is

Sep 14, 2006, 9:35 AM

he put in there because he knew people would talk about it and then others would read the article. People rip Rhymer on here all the time and just want an excuse and he gave them one.

Also, I do agree with him on his statement FYI.

Sep 14, 2006, 12:30 PM

LIKE THE PARAGRAPH HEADING STATES. Is it not common knowledge that CU folks can't stand the smurf blue swofford? Is it not possible that he was making a bit of a joke? To use one statement out of the entire article to call the whole thing a flame bait seems ridiculous to me.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

i completely agree with all you said

Sep 14, 2006, 1:25 PM

I also never said the entire article was flame-bait. To the contrary I only qouted the line.

I'm not an idiot, i know it was said in a joking manner, but he knew it would rile some folks on here up and you know it too.

To denegrate the opponent´s talents in comparison to previous players is not a very smart thing to do...I really think we will never get their respect until we win down there, and observations such as this, cant help if it makes their football bulletin board, and, if they see it, it most likely will

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agreed. That guy could write that we were going undefeated

and winning it all and people still wouldn't like him for one reason or another. Pretty good article. Interesting about the BC tailgating bit. I had not heard that.

Oh, and as for his comment about someone on TigerNet blaming Swofford or thinking there was a conspiracy if we got another injury, I don't think that's flame bait. Based on the years I've been around, that's probably not too far from the truth.

They're all about telling you when to eat, when to go to bed, when to laugh, and when to cry ... why would you be surprised that they tell you when to tailgate?

Sep 14, 2006, 11:20 PM

is a little bit of the ol' GOP pixie dust that has transformed the Middle East into a haven of peaceful democracy, New Orleans into the Emerald City, and the country in general into a happily unified superpower with enhanced credibility throughout the world. It's almost as if those Northeastern liberals think that the fight for this country's independence began there or something. Oh yeah, and who can forget the way they had the nerve to invade the South a short 145 years or so ago. When BC comes to the Valley next year, I say bayonets, not shoulder pads! We'll show those pansies how it's done!

God bless their hearts, but they are going to get used and abused this Saturday. Watch and learn.

Our only hope is that the O comes ready for a shootout.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Um, What FSU team have you been watching

Sep 14, 2006, 11:58 AM

the past few years? They haven't used and abused anyone in quite awhile. Their rushing O is on par with South Carolina's right now. Horrible.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Half our D starters are out with injury. Watch what happens.

Sep 14, 2006, 12:18 PM

I called what BC would do 100% without us having Waters and Billie at LB. FSU may have had a rough couple of weeks on O, but they can smell blood in the water and will take advantage of our decimated D.

You will see.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

LOL...What exactly did BC do on offense?

Sep 14, 2006, 4:33 PM

17 offensive points in regulation, all scored on a special teams shortened field. Not exactly lighting the world on fire.

You're so smart, MacinTiger.

Sep 14, 2006, 12:19 PM

ations:

1) they have a clock counting down how long you have left to taigate
2) a ticket to the game is required to walk onto Shea Field to tailgate. If the party that had your tickets drove to the game and was parked on Shea field, you were out of luck. They would not let you on the field to tailgate or get your tickets.
3) you could not walk to the tailgate with food and drink. All food and drink must be brought in by car
4) and finally - Shea Field is the varisity baseball field. People were tailgating in the infield and outfield. Can you imaging Clemson letting cars park and tailgate on our baseball field?
