Would have preferred the monkey didn't "talk" but still keep Lynch's dialogue. I guess then we wouldn't have been gifted with the beautiful song towards the end.

Fun Fact: Lynch is "well-known" for directing the movie Dune which seems like a weird fit (and it was), but he was also offered the chance to direct a little known other space-based movie--Return of the Jedi. Personally, I would have loved to see Lynch's take on the Ewoks.

I would have loved to have seen that. The Ewoks could have been much more interesting. I thought they were too 'cuddly teddy bearish'. It would have been better if they had ripped the spleen out of at least one or two storm troopers.
