The wife & two daughters (no pics) as well as couple of sets of neighbors. All downstairs watching.

Me? Relegated to the bedroom watching "The Strain". Eldest daughter competes in these things ( well, not tonight). Do you know how much a Sherry Hill dress costs?

Of course there is a heck of a markup. The Sherri Hill basic evening gowns start retail for around $750 and then go up quickly past $1000. She is definately not the most expensive designer. Prices come down pretty quick for prior seasons. And there is a whole cottage industry for uised ones that my wife works quite well.

Of course for the finals of Miss America I would guess most of these evening dresses probably srart at retail for around $2k at least

Fortunately the state chair/.organizations pay for all the dresses of which each girl has quite a few for the preliminaries during the week, etc.

The more you know.
