Clemson across the front of our football jersey like Auburn, Texas, Oklahoma, and most other schools in the country. People said it looks high school, yet the biggest programs in the country have their names on their jerseys and we have in all other sports.
We now have the Nike swoosh on the front of the jersey (in silver now for the Orange Bowl) in a color that is not even a school color. We also have ACC on the front, a small paw to match the two on the shoulders, one on the pants and two on the helmet. We also have the Orange Bowl patch. It seems everyone has rented space on the front of our jersey so that we don't have room to even put the word Clemson.

I tip my Hat to you (7spots) and concur. However, we might consider putting CLEMSON on the back of our Jerseys's for the Offensive side, so they can know for sure who just scored a TD on their ####!!! FEAR The Paw!!! Go Tigers!!!!

I was walking to the game with an orange Clemson hat with a white paw on it and all of a sudden, in a high pitched voice I hear, " Boo Clemson!!". I looked around trying to find the culprit and Mrs.Spud says," There he goes!!", while pointing towards the ground. I looked down spotted a young fella about 5 years old with a mean looking smirk on his face!!
That says it all, when a 5 year old Wolverine knows what The Paw stands for!!

I don't hate the idea of putting Clemson on the Jersey, but to your point of companies and marketing...
You don't have to look further than our jersey's to recognize our plan. We are pushing the paw as our symbol, just as Nike is pushing their symbol not the text of their name.

The only way I would be OK with this is if it were the CLEMS*Paw*N the same way it is on several of Dabo's sweaters. I kind of like that, but just spelling out Clemson detracts from the Paw.

Honestly I've been watching Clemson football for 30+ years and didn't realize Clemson was not on the jerseys.
I get your point because some yahoos may not know who we are. But on the other hand I think it's pretty cool and makes a statement all on its own - you should know who we are!
