The band cranks up “Glory, Glory to Ole Georgia” and our team comes running out. 85,000 stand as one.

easily $1500 for a female. Also, 50% cancer rate. I suggest getting one anyways cause 8-10 years with a Golden is 100x better than any other dog.

I was very against owning a yappy dog before we got married but I have taken a liking to my wife's dog.
Pros:
won't tear up the house (at least not as bad as a lab)
doesn't shed (lab sheds farking everywhere)
more people are willing to dogsit a small dog...probably the biggest positive
cheaper food/medicine/boarding
Cons:
has to get $50 haircuts every 6-8 weeks
feet/stomach picks up a lot of moisture and grass outside

I'd probably look at pug's, teacup poodle's or a dachshund. Or Heinz 57
I've had 2 great goldens and loved them dearly. Look at goldiedoodles too.
