How can anybody not love a sport where two teams run around kicking a ball for 90 mins, all the while trying to act like they were fouled so they can get a "free kick" to win the game 1-0. Thrilling. And just to make sure nobody feels cheated, they let the Referee add a random amount of time at his discretion at the end of the game. We could use some of that in football. No more 10 yards for a first down, let's just let Ron Cherry decide if a team is gaining enough ground in 4 downs. Maybe even give 5 downs to the team with the best looking uniforms, are some random sh!t like that. That'd be great.

Out of his ### and add on to the clock. They add time based on length of time it takes to inbound the ball, time taken to shoot a free kick, or time wasted due to managing injury. The clock is always running so the extra time is added to make up for any wasted time.

Actually most of them are probably pretty knowledgeable about the sport and know that Belgium is a very good team and the US making it out of group stages was a great accomplishment on its own with Germany and Portugal being in our group.

Exactly I never have understood that phenomenon that comes up every 4 years. People come up on their soap boxes to tell the world how much they hate soccer.
I dislike numerous sports but when their big events come around I have zero need to try and tell their fans how much I dislike it.

I really don't care for watching soccer too much as I do many other sports. Why hate it though? I just don't get it. I don't watch cricket, bowling, xgames, WNBA on TV but I don't hate any of these or any sport.
