Alabama was a part of it. The whole SEC not in the championship game was really throwing me, but I get it now. Very reminiscent of the days in the NFL when the NFC championship game was the big game that decided the best team....and then they played a super bowl later against some random team out of the AFC.

On a more cynical note - how is Auburn still ranked? They lost 5 of their last 8 and more significantly 4 of their last 5. Based on this line of thinking, I would have to assume that USuC broke into the top 25.
