I find it laughable that people actually answer conference

alignment with the 4 Team Super Conferences approach. Sorry folks there are too many teams for a 4 by 16, and even if that was the goal there will have to be more than a 4 team playoff. I see 8 conferences with 5 majors/3 minors. Have teams that are in the situation like Fla is in this year play other teams who are in similar position/winners of the minor conferences during the week of conference championships and then put all the winners of that week into an 8 team playoff.

But all that does is create the same flaws that people have with the system now. Teams getting passed over TCU, Boise, etc. because of the perception of their schedule.

If they did do the 4 superconferences, then that at least means that the conference winners get a seed in the 4 team playoff, while increasing the strength of all conferences.

It's actually a 21 team playoff if you add it up and only..

adds one more weekend past the 4 team deal we're heading into now. Would also keep things from being heavy towards one or two conferences.
