The acc could have gotten Texas, Texas tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma St. I seen this basically as a Texas power play to get what they wanted. Geographically it would have made absolutely no sense for those 4 schools. Also anyone who believes Syracuse and Pitt were chosen over them is delusional. Do your research. The so called talks between Texas and the acc didn't start until after those two were added. Basically what it boiled down to was Texas threatening to leave so the big 12 would bow down to them and their longhorn network. It's amazing that the mess so many people were trying to run from last year, so many are wanting to run to this year. Amazing, what a difference a year makes.

The Big 12 had a bad commissioner last year, so they got rid of him and the league suddenly became stable.

In order to protect Raycom for his family and friends, he threw the ACC under the bus.

Clemson is not the bad guy here, we are being damaged by the bad faith negotiating of the ACC.
