Does the Texas A&M loss cut the legs out from under Playoff

Committee chairman's statement that Bama was head and shoulders above the rest of college football?
If LSU only had a halfway decent passing attack.
Clemson should be #1.

If nc state only had a half way decent fg kicker...
If Louisville could have gotten into the end zone after getting to clemsons 9 yard line with 1:19 left.
If fsu didn't have one of the worst offensive lines in the p5.
If auburn would have played their best players from the start of the season
Bama went and shut out LSU at Death Valley.
LSU is the only team in cfb to have given up less than double digit tds on the season. Playing a defense like that at night in red stick presents a decent degree of difficulty.

So he stalks our board waiting for a Bama post? Must be a sad life.***

Or maybe he's truly a coot who is trying to live vicariously through the successes of Nick Saban.

> If nc state only had a half way decent fg kicker...(They should have recruited one. Had a kick blocked earlier to think about. Very loud environment. Dabo iced him. Clemson gets credit there as well. Also, what if Clemson hadn't turned the ball over multiple times in the red zone?) > > If Louisville could have gotten into the end zone > after getting to clemsons 9 yard line with 1:19 left. (Aww too bad they did not seeing that Clemson's defense got the stop. Can't blame the Cards for trying though. Once again, the turnover situation above.) > > > If fsu didn't have one of the worst offensive lines > in the p5.(Really? Good thing Clemson has one of the best defensive lines in college football. Can't blame the FSU OL there.) > > If auburn would have played their best players from > the start of the season(They had all offseason to prep for Clemson and put who they felt would give them the best chance to win. Clemson is also clicking much better offensively than during that game.) > > > > > Bama went and shut out LSU at Death Valley. > > LSU is the only team in cfb to have given up less > than double digit tds on the season. Those offenses on Saturday were very lethargic.

Yeah if scenarios only apply to non Clemson teams. Makes sense.
Bama is right where they belong.

Well If Bama's best win ranks below Clemson's two best wins then Clemson should be ranked #1. Does that sound right?

UofL was beat inspite of 5 Clemson TO's FSU was beat at home in spite of 2 TO's and FSU playing their best game of the year Auburn was beat at home.
9-0 on the way to 10-0
Enjoy hoping to get a moral victory against Florida.
Looks like it'd take at least 6 TO's for Clemson to lose

Bama's lack of a passing attack and the SEC's overall

lack of quality passing attacks is going to hurt them when they finally face a team with a balanced offensive attack and a good defense.
This weekend showed the SEC warts and all.

NC State's kicker missed
Louisville didn't score
FSU has holes
Auburn couldn't handle our defense
Why are these scenarios OUR problems? Teams had opportunities to beat us, but didn't. It is what it is

No, they will claim that last week was the ranking to date, due to strength of schedule and ESPN demanded such so they can sale shows.
However, anyone with any bit of football savvy could tell that aTm was not that good. That their "turnaround on D" was not as sold. The production of those two DEs was all they truly have, nothing in the middle and poor secondary. Playing a sorry Tennessee to overtime should have been an alarm, imo.
So, the playoff committee will just lay back on the weeklies until the one that truly matters, the final one.

"If LSU only had a halfway decent passing attack."
We definitely can't play the ifs and buts game, especially while making a case to be #1. We've had some close calls this year with a lot of ifs and buts from opposing teams. Bottom line is a win is a win.
BAMA deserves to be #1 until they are beaten. They've done nothing to show otherwise.
