I don't think we out of it for Nkemdiche yet

Yea, this could be wishful thinking. But, When Nkemdiche and Dabo met and he decommitted it took all the pressure that he was getting off. No more crap from his parents, friends, and the ACJ. Why hasn't he committed to MSU? If he waits until signing day, he could still come to Clemson without all that pressure on him.

I used to think that but we are out. If we get lawson an adams don't think we would really want him. I'm sure we told lawson if he comes we wouldn't take him anyway

I don't think there is a circumstance other than off the field issues where you can say we wouldn't want the top recruit in the nation at a particular position, much less the top recruit overall.

His father is getting a job at Ole Miss and with the actions

of his mother, it is more than obvious that his parents are trying to profit off of their son. Sorry but an NCAA investigation isn't worth it for the number one rated player. Ole Miss can get away with cheating because they are in the SEC, but Clemson would have the hammer come down harder on the smallest infraction.

His father has withdrawn from that job

since an investigation was launched.

Well Ii'm sure Lawson knows

that's a buncha hogwash!

We're still listed as a school that has offered Señor Roberto, fyi.

Sure, but he also has us listed as "no interest". RN is

Dabo said yesterday that we might get someone that everyone doesn't think we will get.

Was that in a Tnet article?***

I hope he means Lawson. Lawson and Nkemdiche would be 1a and 1b for the best player if Carl Lawson was 6'5". His height hurts him but go watch his Under Armour practice tapes, he wasn't stopped 1 vs. 1. Not one time. And that's against the best high school linemen in the country.

IMO, Lawson has more upside too. More of a 4-3 DE passrusher

than Nkelback

Agree, Nkemdiche is really thick I'd be licking my chops to

get him at DE in a 3-4 system. That being said, he is freaky enough like a Bowers where he can be dominant anywhere. Lets not fool ourselves by rationalizing the guy who doesn't want to come here somehow isn't cut out for our scheme.

Why would he commit to MSU, they aren't even on his list***

THANK YOU! I've been waiting for this to be said.

That being said, I think the posters here have destroyed Nkemdiche. Once he finally suits up for Clemson, he'll be a shell of his former self n' be relegated to 2nd team all ACC.

Wishful thinking is an understatement here.***

Lawson is showing interest because, most likely, we told him we're no longer recruiting RN.

The definition of awesome!

I wish for this too, but Lawson I think is our top DE target***

Get Carl and we're done at DE.

Lawson, Lawson, Rogers, and Ogundeko.

The coaching staff isn't even actively recruiting him...

anymore. With this issue of his dad getting a job at Ole Miss and the actions of his mom, RN is a problem we don't need. What we have with RN, is his parents trying to profit off of his son's talent. Sorry, but I don't want him to come here then have a Reggie Bush type of situation his junior year, because his mom and dad get greedy and want some dough.

Miss legislature put the kibosh on the daddy job. Taxpayer money.***

I held a similar view until last week. My contacts at Ole

Posted: Jan 13, 2013 2:57 PM

Miss continue to be confident that he is 100% coming there.

That being said, Dabo's comment peaked my interest in the possibility. He hadn't out right eliminated Clemson but his comments on it being an LSU v. Ole Miss battle was as close as we've heard to that.

Thanks Swann, but I ask, Then why hasn't he and his boy committed?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg

It is between LSU and Ole Miss. His loss.

Posted: Jan 13, 2013 5:45 PM

He could have made a name for himself at Clemson. As it stands, he is just a recruiting pawn/chump. And Clemson will be okay with or without him.

GO TIGERS!!!

2019 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg

After reading all the comments on here, I've got questions

Posted: Jan 13, 2013 5:21 PM

1) What's this about an investigation with his dad and him no longer getting the job?

2) What makes some of you think Lawson would have no interest in coming here if RN comes? E. Daniel did decommit a while back so that's one more DE that isn't coming.

3) How could an investigation into illegal actions by OTHER institutions effect Clemson if RN came here and Clemson's hands were clean?

I still think there is a chance we get him. None of you on here know word for word the discussion between Dabo and RN. This could be part of the plan.

That's the thing. I don't think Momma will let him go somewhere "for free. . . ."
I'd rather we steer clear of him. Any contribution he'd make isn't worth the drama he'd come with.

I think the same

Posted: Jan 13, 2013 8:03 PM

Nkemdiche got the pressure off.

I don't want him. I'd rather beat his team.

I'll still take Clowney though. :)

Please no way is he coming to Clemson our coaches have moved on and so should you. Its over.

I have to totally agree

All pressure removed, and he can be his own man and leave the paparazzi out. These guys have their own will sometimes. Sort of like CJ was.

He's been wearing green lately so I think he's going to

the Gators or Da 'Canes.
