I'm ready to see the new defensive scheme, one that's simplified and focuses on just going out there and hitting guys in the mouth instead of X and O's, formation and motion adjustments, quadratic equations, etc.

will be interesting, I don't think we can do any worse so we'll definitely see improvement. Plus I want to see his intensity on the sidelines.

I believe the linebackers will be the strength of the defense this year, which sets up for what could be a great front seven in 2013.

Question... Venebles is going to simplify the CU D, but from what I've been reading concerning Mike Stoops (from OU fans and prognosticators), they are looking for him to simplify the OU D this year, too. Were Steele's defensive schemes super hard, and Venebles hard, but not as hard... or are you guys delusional?

Not much to worry about there. Same system, same strategy, more aggressive. Works for me.
But... back to topic...
How hard was Steele's system if Venebles "easier" system is too complicated for OU fans?

did you watch any of our games the last couple of years? if so, than you saw the moving around and confusion right up 'till (and milli-seconds beyond) the snap, there was entirely to many adjustments to comprehend/execute with the limited amount of practice time alloted by the ncaa.
