I don't care if Etienne can't pass block yet

If he's as dynamic and talented of a runner as every coach and player on the team says he is, don't Dabo and Scelliot have to find a way to get that man at least 8-10 touches (carries/kick returns/ catches) a game early in the season? Its not like that's a lot of touches. We should be able to scheme around his inability to pass block at least for a little while. If the running game is as important as most of us think it will be this year, how can you let a potential gamebreaker sit the bench in favor of upperclassmen with lower ceilings?
The only way I'd think you don't is if he has ball security issues. I think they'll find away to give him a some "offensive packages" where he can showcase his talents.

Play first for a few games even they it seems real obvious that others are more talented. Going to contradict myslef some with Dexter Lawrence and maybe Mike Bellmay

until our oline can block as a unit, it's a must for our RB's...

I don't think people realize how important Gallman was to the offense. He made a ton of blocks that created a pocket for Watson or made a block allowing him to escape a rusher. Oline has to run block better and block as a unit on pass blocking, before we can put less of an emphasis on RB's that have to have the ability to block on an NFL level

I'm gonna trust the coaches to decide what to do. Also, every time the coaches open their mouth, they are either selling Clemson or trying to motivate someone to work harder. They know what they're doing. Even though Dabo likes to talk, believe that he's doing his job every time he opens his mouth. He's sharp.

People said the same thing about Feaster last year. And then complained when he didn't get touches. And then we won the national championship.
Trust the coaches. Let them do their job.

This hype of Etienne is not the same as Feaster last yr

Feaster was getting all his hype from the fans because he was an in-state 5 star and High School sprint champion. However, you wasn't hearing the same love from the coaches and players who saw him everyday during camp.
I feel like with Etienne it was totally the opposite. He's been sorta under the radar with fans, but clearly he has impressed other players and the coaches. Most of the fans have just recently jumped on the bandwagon.

Sounds like the same arguments made last year for Feaster and the coaches approach turned out to be the right one. In Dabo I trust!

I think you are underappreciating the importance of RB blocking, especially in Clemson's offense. As others have said, the coaches will make the right decision.
