Notre Dame had 5 games in the top 15 of viewership

Apr 18, 2013, 12:24 PM

in 2012. Boston College, Pitt, Michigan, USC, and Oklahoma

I think the ACC stands to benefit greatly from the national exposure. Especially when playing national games on NBC.

I think I'm more excited to see CU play @ND on something other than the 4 letter network than i am for them to come here.

People are too blinded by their hatred for Swofford

to understand what a huge get ND was, even for football. For Clemson to have the opportunity to play them at least 3 times per decade is huge exposure for our progrum.

We didn't GET ND. ND is not in the conference. And when we play @ND we get zip..and they can replace us in bowl games...We took it up rear with that one....

I disagree...

We "get" a game with them every 3 years and they don't touch a dollar of our football TV revenue. I don't see how that's "taking it up the rear". When we go to their place, we'll be on national network television-- guaranteed. When they come to our place, we get a packed house, another nationally televised game, and even more exposure. On top of that, losing to them won't effect our standing in the ACC race.

Did they benefit from the deal? Sure, they got a home for their hoops program and their non-revenue/Olympic sports and a sub-BCS bowl game. That's about it.

I'm obviously in the minority, but I like the deal the ACC got a lot.

I agree with you ...

The question isn't whether ND benefitted more or less than we did, but how much did we benefit, knowing ND will not join any comference in football until they are compelled to do so, such as if required to get into future playoff system.

bowl game.

I think in the South Clemson can out drawn ND in big bowls.

If the records are equal and they have not played each other we might get them in a bowl game.
