Yesterday of all days, after me not touching a hair on my head for good luck all season, and now looking like an Old Testament prophet, she decides to pluck one of my eyebrow hairs that was sticking straight up and bothered her. I knew we were doomed and told her so. She laughed and said, "It's just an eyebrow hair and won't affect anything." I am not considering divorce but I am considering the death penalty for that attack on the sanctity of my superstitions.
