are less to do with grades and more to do with his transcript looking really weird because he transferred to IMG and then back to his original high school

It's standardized tests that nobody should use for admission

His grades and transcript have to be fine at this point. We shouldn't use the ACT or SAT for anything. Grades, class rank (taking into account activities and part-time work) and teacher recommendations tell you all you need to know.

but otherwise it's insanely hard to normalize across different schools. The SAT and ACT will be relevant until someone comes up with a better way to compare applicants from disparate backgrounds and school systems

There is a standardized test in Florida called the FCAT. It is required for graduation. He has not passed it yet. Prolly wasn't stressed at IMG. At most public schools they teach to the test. It was implemented during the Jeb Bush days and public school teacher pay is tied to it. Really stupid idea. Many kids struggle with it. He did walk at graduation cause PCHS thought he had passed it on last try. Apparently not. Has nothing to do with his overall grades or transcripts

Teaches special Ed that seems unfair to tie them to the same standard. I love your post. Some are a waste of space. Yours my friend was excellent!
