I get it easy money, but risk/reward was an afterthought here.

Maybe $122k for him is like $100 for us?

Exactly what I was thinking also. If he didn't have it to lose, he would have never bet that kind of money on a FB game.

Gus Malzhan, is that you...

Sep 7, 2016, 9:21 AM

I suspect this is his new retirement strategy, gotta make the big bucks before the inevitable happens!

This was a smart bet.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He has to be a multi-millionaire to be able to bet that sum

Sep 7, 2016, 9:28 AM

of $. I'll bet he was still nervous at the end though. Probably paid the next tank of gas and a months dock space for his yacht!

To much risk in that game even if taking Louie and the points. I know that I wouldn't dare take FSU giving up the points, not even for $5.00!!!

this is ok i guess

Sep 7, 2016, 9:55 AM

i don't mind personal bets but this vegas crap we got going on is a mockery of the sport and shouldn't be allowed in amateur sports in my opinion. it cheapens the game, i don't care what ya'll say.

I don't think that many will hold your personal opinion against you but, there is some that will hate you for saying such a thing bc it will be against their own opinion!!!

I wish tigernet did not cover these stories

Sep 7, 2016, 10:13 AM

Not good for college football.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's ESPN covering. Tigernet just shared what they reported.***

I totally agree. I love TigerNet, but there are many more stories better than this one.
No matter who reported it first, TigerNet chose to publish it.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It totally legal .. geeez

Sep 7, 2016, 6:09 PM [ in reply to I wish tigernet did not cover these stories ]

and what a secure bet. It was straight up, which meant his money odds weren't good, but the final outcome wasn't a stretch. God bet.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

How'd you get my ticket!?

Sep 7, 2016, 10:18 AM

Lol right...

Snowflake Basher........Out

If he bet, Clemson,he lost. Spread71/2***

Sep 7, 2016, 12:40 PM

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He didn't bet the spread. He bet the moneyline.

Sep 7, 2016, 12:44 PM

Essentially the odds were -320 on the moneyline. With that type of bet, you are only concerned with who wins the game. The bettor had to wager $320 to win $100 if Clemson won the game.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I bet (no pun intended) that was heck of a ride

Sep 7, 2016, 10:37 PM

Bet he needed to do some laundry after the end

Sep 7, 2016, 5:35 PM

I was sweating bullets. Can only imagine what he was doing.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Bet he needed to do some laundry after the end

Sep 7, 2016, 9:12 PM

I suspect this was not a Clemson graduate. Probably just a high roller for whom six figure bets are not unusual. I wonder who the biggest loser was on bets against the spread?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Bet he needed to do some laundry after the end

Sep 10, 2016, 10:05 AM

As a fan, I pull every week for my team. As a gambler , I know them best and therefore bet for and against based on the spread and my knowledge. I do quite well. But it's tough when you lose because the coach didn't do what he was supposed to do. He was supposed to send the kicker out , kick the field goal. He risked losing the game by doing something unorthodox and abnormal. That play call didn't win the game for Clemson. Auburn's inability to capitalize on their final opportunity allowed Clemson to not lose the game. It was highly risky and the odds were in favor of kicking the field goal.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

During the CFPCG, i wagered several hundred on a point

Sep 7, 2016, 5:43 PM

prop bet for total points scored along with my dad and brothers in Vegas that would have earned us $13,000.00 until that last DW4 to Leggett touchdown busted the highest bracket. Talk about heartbreak...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dude was sweating bullets for a few minutes***
