Because most 3rd rate players go on Oprah and have reality show contracts before they step foot on the field.If he didn't flaunt that and ESPN didn't promote it he'd be playing in Canada and no one would no who he was. I'm waiting for the day when a guy fakes being gay just so he can get signed.

these days anyway. All the opinion shows over that past 5 years have been out of control and have morphed into way too much left driven politics. And left driven politics usually just makes everyone despise each other. Hopefully they'll reduce the amount of talking heads through all this and keep it that way.

Because every team in the country stands to lose billions collectively if there's no season, and that will ripple into other sports and likely even academia. Every TV network too, and probably companies like Nike and Underarmor that sell merch.
It will be nothing short of an unmitigated financial disaster if there's no football season, for thousands of entities across the country.

And it won’t be the rich athletes, owners and coaches who take the hit. It’ll be the Regular staff around franchises, college athletic programs etc. The ordinary joes who work marketing, ticketing, training.
