The playoff scenarios are becoming crystal clear IMO.

If the committee is truly credible and sticks to their criteria when the initial rankings coming out next week, it'll be as follows:
1. LSU (because of resume) 2. tOSU (2nd best resume and dominant in every game) 3. Bama (dominant in every game, but have played nobody) 4. Clemson (dominant in every game except 1, but have played nobody)
By season's end it'll probably be
1. Bama/ LSU winner (likely undefeated and SEC champ) 2. tOSU (likely undefeated and Big10 champ) 3. Clemson (likely undefeated and ACC champ) 4. LSU/ Bama loser (best team with just 1 lost)
I think we punish tOSU in that 2-3 matchup in a similar fashion to the last time we play them because they are so use to playing all these slow, nonathletic teams in the Big10. That eventually puts us versus the Bama/ LSU part 2 winner.

We will be number 1 or 2 by the playoffs in my opinion.

Probably will be 4th in the first rankings. I think he’s right about creeping up by the time the playoffs get here. The committee has consistently given us more respect than the AP and talking heads.

tOSU resume?

I'll take A&M against Wisconsin all day long. If you want to put O310 State at number 2, that's fine. I'll buy eye test, but I think any resume argument is weak.

Go Ducks!

not a believer in LSU’s resume (see my earlier post), particularly if they lose the only really big game on their schedule.
Nothing I have seen this season convinces me that the SEC deserves 2 slots; I think the B1G has as good an argument, but those 4 teams still have to play each other. Unless those two games change my mind, I don’t see putting a 1-loss SEC team who didn’t win their division in over a (potential) 1-loss PAC winner AND a 1-loss B12 winner. Not based on what I’ve seen THIS YEAR.

Yep by the first week of December both Auburn and Texas will be 4 loss teams and those wins for LSU won’t sparkle as much. Only the Florida win, assuming they beat UGA, and whatever they do against Bama will shine them up.

1. Undefeated SEC team 2. Undefeated Ohio State 3. Clemson 4. 1 loss SEC team.
Huge talks about an 8 team expansion when season is over.

Doubt they would set up a BAMA-LSU rematch in the semis

And I still believe if Oklahoma or Oregon wins out, they get in over BAMA-LSU loser

there is a real chance Bama loses to LSU and Auburn. Also a chance they beat them both. TUA's health is critical to their success.

Not quite as convinced that the LSU/Bama loser gets in over 12-1 OU or Oregon. But I'm also not convinced OU or Oregon will win out. I think Utahs resume will be a little weaker than Oregons if they get to 12-1.

Keep in mind that Oregon has a loss against Auburn, which has a loss to LSU. If losing to Auburn was a quality loss for Oregon, then it was a quality win for LSU.
