So, it looks like the Power Five will be

May 13, 2020, 12:19 PM

determining whether of not college football will be played this fall. The NCAA is impotent, as we all know. Just pondering hypothetical situations, but say the conferences will go ahead. But, what if certain schools say it’s too dangerous and refuse to take part. I can definitely see schools like Duke or Georgia Tech doing that. What does that do to schedules? Alabama wants to play, but USC(the real one) probably won’t be able to play them in the first game. Schools who want to play, will have to scramble to find other schools who want to play.
It’s gonna be a cluster of chaos.

What we need is for a major conference to go ahead and

May 13, 2020, 12:31 PM

declare that they will play football this fall, and make it an absolute.

It needs to be the SEC, they are the only conference with the bawlz to do it and the clout to push other conferences into doing so.

Definitely not a year to be a AD

I believe there is to much money involved to not have a big playing field. I read this morning that the NFL isn’t ruling out moving the three NFL teams out of California and play else where.

First 2 places that come to mind are St. Louis & San Antonio...have to think on a 3rd though.

Move the Raiders to Greenville and that opens up Vegas for the third. Boom goes the dynamite!

Hate to be a Power 5 snob, but no way should this ever happen. Neither "home and home" or "2 for 1" with ECU or any other non-P5 team.

Also, need to understand Clemson's normal schedule formula (2021 being an odd exception):

7 home games
4 ACC road games
1 P5 road game - alternates between the coots and the non-conf P5s like Notre Dame, Auburn, A&M, OU, LSU, etc.

Are you really willing to give up a marquee match-up with ND or OU to play in Greenville, NC?

Never going to happen under the current construct of college football.

Schools that are not serious about football like Miami, NCSU and UofSuck do these type of things. Certainly not Clemson.

Ooops. This somehow posted in the wrong thread. User error I assume.
