If you reject the Bible and it's message in its entirety, there is no point in either arguing or explaining the general process of Christianity from the Old Testament into the New Testament, and ignorant statements like "Christians reject the parts they don't like."

to think there was any point to what you posted, you'd have to be ignorant of Christian theology. So I think mumbo is pretty well justified in assuming you don't believe what the Bible says, since if you did you would know why Christians don't find that kind of thing to be worth arguing with.

I know more about Christian theology than you and him combined.
And I also know why what was written in the above verse and why it doesn't apply today. But also think the same thing about the TWO verses in the ENTIRE bible on homosexuality.

without getting into a sticky discussion about Christian theology.
If The Bible is God's words and Jesus is God then anything in the New Testament reflects Jesus's Thoughts on homosexuality

not only that, he was a Nazarene who kept celibate his whole life. It's more likely that he didn't say anything about it because he didn't think anything more needed to be said about the Jewish view than that he ignored it because he approved of it.

^^^ this is the answer to 19b's question ^^^
Jul 27, 2012, 10:47 AM
|
|
Jesus is the living Word of God, the concrete expression of God on Earth. The Bible is the revelation of God's Word, although it is not, itself, the living Word as Jesus is. This is why it is not a rule book, like the Torah. Jesus, in fact, fulfills the law by joining the universal revelation of God in a particular, concrete human. In that sense, he "fulfills the law."

people. They decided they could please God on their own and didn't need His help. They asked for the law. God gave them what they asked for. That law was not given to we of the gentile tribes. (Thats everyone who isn't born Jewish)
Are you a Jew?
YES: Then you should be adhering to the law. NO: Worry about your escape plan and leave the Jews to deal with the law for it is not your concern.
