I believe we are going to be in a dog fight tonight in DV. GT has been a big thorn to us for many years. And under PJ and his dog bone, neck bone, hex bone, cheat bone offense, it has been a crippling experience for our players. I'm glad our next game is with the Citadel and not the coots. Our starters will need the rest for their shins, knee's and legs to get a chance to heal. Out of all the teams we play, I wouldn't want to see our guys having to hobble in and play the coots after a GT game. I hope soon that PJ will be run out of Atlanta, or a rules change to stop the chop blocks of his offense. A few feet don't make a chop block, a cut block. It's a chop block and I don't see how a few feet can turn it into anything other than what it really is, it's a CHOP BLOCK. Who ever changed the ruling over a few feet had to be a complete idiot, and the others that agreed. It isn't any difference in diving at a guys knee's at the LB spot or the line of scrimmage. I guess the acc coaches are afraid of bringing that up in the acc meetings before the start of fall FB, in front of PJ.

Yes, Georgia Tech does have a chance and he'd lose credibility if he didn't give honest opinions.

I dont think its outrageous to think GT has a chance. We should win and they aren't a great team but if we lay an egg, they certainly have a chance. Kirk is normally pretty fair to us.

Maybe I have my orange-colored glasses on... but I would put our current defense (and Venables) well ahead of our defenses pre-Venables. I'm much less worried about discipline on defense (lanes, assignments, gaps, etc). At this point I just want to get out of that game without having 4 people go down with injured knees from their ######## blocking.

isn't a great predictor for how it will handle that offense. For whatever reason, they always bring their A Game when they play us (or at least it seems that way). I think we're in for a real battle Thursday night. Extremely important to get 3-and-outs versus these guys.

I agree that Tech has a chance. That ugly boring offense can be a nightmare if they get a lead. I think we will win a close game and pray all that chop blocking doesn't injure any of our Tigers.
