How we beat the coots

Start an OL of Battle, Davis, Guillermo, Crowder and Morris with Schuessler running the zone read(something he did in high school) and run it 50 times. A few play action passes. That's our 5 best run blockers by far. No way we can air it out but we beat them the same way they have us. Ball control and a shut down defense and no turnovera. If we aren't desperate enough to pivot and try something different, then moan and complain to our hearts content. There defense is still pathetic.

I agree. I think the only way we stand a chance is the Zone Read with a capable QB. Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing them maybe give Robert Smith a few reps in practice to see what he can do. He was a very successful dual threat QB in High School.

I'd see what Marcus Edmond could do. Smith may need to

focus on defense, but he may be worth a shot as well.

Isn't Edmond pretty small?
If we're going to do something like this, I like the idea of giving Smith a shot for the simple fact that he's a full grown man at this point. 210-215 at that height and is solid muscle.

Coots are averaging about 30 points.

just absolutely necessary and make sure it's a deep bomb.
I'm not sure who should be QB. Probably Nick but also incorporate a ton of zone read wildcat packages with Scott or Edmond or someone with a little QB experience.
I don't guess you just completely go away from Nick or Cole, but I think close to 50% of the plays should be with someone who can run at QB. It's not like Watson threw any passes against GT except the one to Peake beyond the line of scrimmage. We moved the ball just fine.

Go down by 14 points in the fourth quarter, then run Art out of the wildcat. Worked for KY.

we can put at LG. Crowder and Morris are road graders who just can't pass block yet as RS freshmen. Guillermo should be ready to go at C. Running our standard offense, that OL would be a mess. But sold out for the run and some big play shots down field, especially against a still pathetic coot DL, they will be very physical

The way to beat the coots is to get to Dylan Thompson. He cannot take hits and if he starts getting hit, he will get shook.

hopefully, Gus will write another book and put it on Kindle for Chad to read before the 29th. because Chad's not an architect, he's a disciple that blindly follows the dogma
