How many yards does Tajh have tonight?

Jan 3, 2014, 5:22 PM

I think 350 yards passing, 50 yards rushing.

150 yards to Sammy.

Hopefully 350 if so we win. Would like for Sammy to have 2-3 tds also. That would be real nice.

Did you get the notice?

We aren't playing South Carolina. We're playing one of the worst secondaries we've played all year.

That is up to Tajh.

It depends on how often he pulls it down too early while the pocket is still being held and runs straight into the arms of a middle LB coughing the ball up or runs out the back of the pocket straight into a DE for the big sack or throws the ball up for grabs while being chased or he locks in on only one receiver from the snap rather than checking down and then throws into triple coverage for INTs.

Hopefully he will not be throwing the ball in the dirt tonight preventing the receivers from running after a catch.

The play that lost the USC game. was with 8:48 left in the 4th qtr. Down 24-17, Clemson had the ball 2nd and 9 on the Carolina 33 after a 1 yd gain QB draw by Boyd. McDowell had just run for 22 yards the play before that and Clemson was rolling down the field in control.

On second down the WR on the left side was Adams Humphries flanked by Watkins in the backfield. Boyd took the snap and the pocket was still being held well as he decided to be the AA hero QB not looking for receivers as he ran up the middle straight into the arms of the LB for a gain of 3 but then fumbled and USC recovered.

Meanwhile Humphries was completely uncovered from the snap of the ball, sliding across the field at the 25 yd line waving his arms frantically. Wide open, all alone. He had a clear field for a touchdown, no one except the official was within 10 yards of him. Easy pass for Boyd if he had looked. He could have even thrown a Tebow jump pass looper for the TD. Boyd personally lost the game on that play.

The above usually only happens against good defenses after we get down more than one score so I am guessing that will not happen tonight. OSU is weak on defense.

GO TIGERS!!! BEAT THE ##### (NEXT YEAR)!!!
