How many kids who have transferred actually made it bigtime??

Apr 24, 2019, 11:23 PM

Most kids who transfer from Clemson are never to be heard from again. Drop out of the next school or keep transferring thinking playing time is granted not earned. Personally I think Feaster is making a bad decision . Swinney has shown the ability to polish 2 deep players at every position and prepare them for the next step. Even Nick Schusler got a free agency at QB. If you have what it takes then u will have that opportunity. Good example here is Mark Fields. Always played behind someone at Clemson yet now he's the talk of the draft due to his huge showing at the combine. One of the fastest players as well. As far as remembering transfers... The only one that comes to mind was Swag Kelly and he's in Prison ??????! Anyway good luck to Feaster. Next man up.

Getting to the league.

This could be his last year of football. I don't blame him for wanting to be a feature back and rack up some stats

Hes also graduating with a Clemson degree and some extra jewelry. I hope he tears it up wherever he goes.

Only one i can think of that made a splash in the league was Russell Wilson. He was a post-grad transfer.

Will Grier has a decent chance this year to fit your criteria, but he will probably have to begin his career as a project.

Don't recall any RBs in that category.

ah, the ever elusive answer to a question vs. comments about said question. Refreshing.

I don't have the stats, but I'd suspect that few transfers made it big. If you weren't good enough to start for Clemson, then although you'll no doubt find another College at which you can start, it's highly unlikely that you'll be good enough to forge a career in the NFL.

Stayed in the coaches’ doghouse most of his career and wouldn’t have had his degree if he decided to leave before last season. He’s also very far from the talk of the draft and probably would’ve gone a couple rounds higher if he got to play a lot but instead he has hardly any tape and has to rely on just his workouts and combine stats to get drafted.

I think he’ll be a good nickel corner in the NFL but comparing his situation to Feaster’s isn’t even close.

Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray transferred to Oklahoma and both won the Heisman. The original poster was talking Clemson players though.

Should be pretty obvious. MOST kids transfer because they

aren't getting the playing time they want.

Typically this means they're not as good as other players on the team.

Therefore they're typically not going to make it in the NFL.
