But Bama vs OU in Dallas would be a crime against humanity?! Bama should have to play in Dallas. Period.

That's a most excellent point. Most excellent, indeed. Lower Alabama is closer to New Orleans, than any part of SC is to Alabama.

Per CFB reasoning in our case, lower seed closer to either New Orleans or California than Higher seed

The committee doesn’t assign where the teams play, the number 1 seed selects the one of the two semifinal sites that they think will be best for them and their fans. Once they choose, that locks everybody else into their location to play.

The fan support was not the problem. It was much cheaper for Clemson fans to get to New Orleans than California. Many Clemson fans drove. Would have not been the case otherwise. These sites are announced years in advance. No conspiracy on this one.

this year they don't want Bama in Dallas bc it could give OU an advantage so they'll have them travel further to Miami just to avoid that. However, last year they had no problem putting the lower seeded team in a distinct advantage.

Last year, for us to have more of a home game, we would have had to go north and/or east, which would be Charlotte (where we already played in ACCCG).
