How in the world is Gregg Marshall not at either CU or USC?

He's the best coach to come out of our state in long, long time, and yet neither program hired him despite making 2 hires each within the last 10 years. Odd. I don't get it. It seems that sometimes the best and most obvious choice is eschewed in favor of a less compelling choice.

Maybe not now, but I'm pretty sure that I heard multiple reports of his interest in both programs in the past. It just seems weird to me.

Oh I dont disagree with you. I just think he has done enough coaching it would have happened if it mattered to him.

he succeeded Turgeon at WSU and they missed the tourney his first 3 years. They were patient, and look now. May be a lesson there

I knew he was the real deal when I watched his team smoke the Cougars two years ago in a tournament. Well coached team that gets the most out of his talent.
His teams seem to shoot well, too. Against CofC a few years ago, Goudelock couldn't keep up with all the 3's they kept draining. Come to think of it, it was similar to the Gonzaga game last night.
He could win 25 games and get either school in the dance every year.

He might be a "fan" but he is far from Diehard.
If he were Diehard he wouldnt have turned down the USC job like he did when they hired Martin.

Marshall has a very good situation at WSU. Six of their 7 juniors and seniors are JUCOs. Even if he were a serious candidate, doubt he would be willing to give up that pool of potential recruits.
