conservative leaning people about the dangers of nationalism and ignore the socialism which is in full blossom just to your left? Yes, right there just left of the moderates in the democrat party resides a faction which is rioting in the streets screaming in people's faces and daring someone to contest them? Radical socialist are stepping forward and raising their voices in your party and you're ignoring them while condemning the same people they are attacking.
How then can you ignore the millions who have been tortured and murdered by socialist governments across the world and all the fine countries which have been bankrupted and destroyed by socialist regimes while accusing a brief movement of nationalism which is the center of the conservative movement with the radical white supremacist Nazis of the Germany? All the while the results of socialism is causing such suffering in South America.

No dem that I know has condemned the violent behavior of Antifa. Not one dem has stepped forward and condemned the stifling of free speech on college campuses, not one leader and not one dem on this forum. Protecting freedom of speech used to be the main theme uniting liberals. Not one single word.

I don't spend nearly as much of my life talking about politics as I used to. You aren't going to get the kind of dissertations out of me that you currently practice or that I used to love to write on here.
I'm also not under any illusions that anything I say, do or write on here is going to change anyone's mind or alter anyone's stance for more than a moment.
But before I get too far off track, 1) how am I stifling your right to speak, 2) in what universe does the constitution forbid me, a private actor, from stifling it, if I had that power, and 3) What the hell are you talking about?

Riiiiight. Because there isn't a large faction of people in this country that are terrified of brown people to the point of xenophobia. But since you aren't one of them, you can ignore the fact that they exist, en masse. I'm pretty confident that there are fewer hardcore socialists in the US than there are people who believe brown-ish minorities are the source of all of the problems in this country.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.
Just remember several things ...
1) Politcal posts are not going to change anyone’s opinion. Mostly they are offered up as gibberish to collect TU points from one’s clan. This goes both ways.
2) Given #1, insert more humor and don’t take things too serious .
3) Most everyone is an American citizen. There are no formal categories of patriotism - meaning an opposing position or party does not make someone less American.
4) The only absolute truths - Coots suck, Tigers are great!

When I get this blood pressure under control I'll buy us both a beer if you'll promise not to buy me one and incite me to get drunk. I get real entertaining when I'm drinking. I become a good pool player and can keep a bar laughing and buying me beer.
I also have periods of thinking I can drive when I'v drunk all that beer. I'm luck I've never been caught or killed myself so it's real important you stop me a one..well maybe two if you're buying the second round. Three if you're big enough to take my keys.
