and I hope this technology advances somehow. Seen close family suffer, and family around them as well.

Keep up the good work, doc(s)

as long as they're walking a known path, and not heading out into the woods lost for not knowing where they are - sure.

If it works - shit - beam me up, Scotty. I'll where a mask and cape if it keeps me sane.

start the R&D.

Never know where a medical device and grants can lead.

Side note - I was listening to a podcast the other day, and the discussion was about memory in children not being as strong as previous generations. They've basically been rewired to omit retention of most things, because they know they can just Google it. Why put effort into memory. This could lead to more dementia and a pattern basically.

They were on a tangent, and started talking about that being a global thing when we're a plugable unit, and just recharge/upload to the "cloud" daily. You'll come home, and upload your day. If you want to remember a day, just pull if from archive. Anything. Can't imagine what hackers would do with that info, but was wild to hear what people see for our future.

The scalp-delivered electrical bursts appeared to resync brain waves across areas of the noggin important for high-level thinking and memory
