How / when did the "woo who"" start?

I don't remember it going as a kid - late 70's - late 80's or as a student in late 80's. I'll hang up and listen you your response.

I was in Tiger Band from 1988 to 1992. I first heard it in 1990 by a member of the Tiger Band flag line. However, it took a while to gain momentum.

FWIW, I always taught my kids to never "woo-hoo". I also taught them to only include "2 fights" at the end of the CLEMSON cadence count.

I keep reminding people that there are only 2 fight, fights at the end of cadence count and they look at me like I've lost it. Also, hand raise on "o'er" during the alma mater and not one tick sooner. These things should be taught at orientation! And I do not woohoo.
