Astonishing reason Coots are confident this saturday

They are confident this Saturday because this year, 2017, is only the 14th time since 1892 that they have 8 or more wins in a season.

Between 1903 and 1979 they had zero 8 win seasons.

So yeah, this year at 8-3...they're confident.

Not gonna make much difference Saturday night though.

That win kept hope alive for them. If they had lost that game, that might have changed their entire perspective during the rest of the season.

They were also lucky in the NCST game --- again, another hope building win.

To be fair a good many of those seasons had 8 games or less.

So lets look at it from the other side.

Out of all their seasons that had at least 7 games (which was just about all of them since 1900) they only had 18 seasons where they only lost 3 games or less.

So to think that they have a theoretical chance at doing something they have only done 21 times in 116 years is truly taking mediocrity to it's upper limit.

If Jaclyn Bentley plays a heisman worthy game and they make us turn it over 5 times and we have to kick field goals and ETN, Feaster, and KB don’t run for 200+ yds and of our defense allows Jaclyn Bentley enough time to check through each receiver twice they have the game in the bag.
