I'm surprised Michael Wade hasn't transferred like Jon Richt. He's good enough to play in the FBS, but with two solid QBs like Korn and Parker in and then Tajh Boyd coming in, he'll always be just the holder.

why the heck is Danial Andrews listed as a LB at 190 lbs? Why is Humphries and Lambert so low on the totem pole as well? So many folks online are sooo convinced that the staff know more than ppl online.Just because they get paid to do so.Only difference between them and most, not all.But most ppl online. They get paid alot of bucks to F up.

We Are Loaded.
...for real this time. Crappy line play and QB play killed us last year, and that will not be the case this year.

Hard to see how you go from "crappy" to "loaded"..

on the OL in one year. I'll believe it when I see it.
As for the QB's, we do have a lot of potential there... I hope we have a coach who can help them to reach that potential. Given the QB performance over the last few years, I'm concerned about that. Maybe we should have hired Charlie Whitehurst's dad to coach QB's. Evidently no one we've had in recent years knew how to do it.

"young" can equal "crappy" on the OL. let's hope they grow

up fast.
as for this:
2. Cullen Harper....... CU JR 13 433 282 6 65.1 2991 27 230.1
add a line that started 5 freshman because of injury and I say you get last year faster than a lack of coaching.

I don't think you can blame it all on the OL...
May 12, 2009, 11:37 AM
|
|
but that's convenient and it feels better than saying that Cullen Harper went from being a potential All-ACC QB and shoe-in for the NFL to being a forgotten man in the draft.

I don't, but you can't blame the qb coach on JD dropping

like a rock in the draft either.
On the other hand it's easy not to blame the line when you want to take a shot at the coach.

We still have inexperience at QB, WR, safeties. Also depth is an issue at OL, LB, and safeties. It could be another year where our running game helps us win until teams learn how to stop the run. We'll just have to wait and see.

Im gonna be a realist this year and not get overhyped myself nor let the media or coaches, players, fans etc... lure me in either.. The team playing on saturdays are the only ones gonna make me believe this year.. Nuthin Else.. I hope we shoot to the moon but havin a Kinda first year coach an a new DC I tend to lean to a 7 to 8 win season.. Lets pray im soooo wrong and they finally bust 10 in regular season play an win the ACC but very doubtful in my eyes .. But I still love my tigz

Best DL in the nation
May 12, 2009, 12:59 PM
|
|
Our 4 defensive linemen represent arguably the best DL in the nation. Both interior guys are 300-pounder-middle-clogging beasts and were both 4 star recruits. Sapp and Bowers were both 5 star recruits... big time 5 star guys. No one has better bookends than the Tigers (and that's not even debatable). The offense will get most of the attention because of the unknowns (QB, OL, WRs), but this defense should garner some serious national attention in the pre-season. They're going to be a great group.

unless they are on the filed at the same time. You can have more than one guy with the same number. Not unusual to see with an offensive and defensive guy share number.

Looking at what has happened to the rest of the ACC and the changes at Clemson, I will go ahead and respond to the 7-5 prediction and say that the Tigers will go 10-2. I like the coaching changes. I think this team will be much better in the trenches. I think that the competition between Korn and Parker will bring out the best in both of them. I believe CJ will have a huge year. I believe Clemson Nation is hungry not only for a championship, but for respect. I believe that this Tiger team from the coaches down have seen that it takes more than being loaded with talent and have high expectations, you have to have all that, be hungry and go impose your will on your opponent! I believe this will be a different team than we've seen in the last 10yrs. I think this is one with talent and a hard-nosed mentality to get the job done, Dabo-style! 10-2...

I want to know why a team that lost very little is not ranked! Yeah we lost James Davis.....but If we had of been Southern Cal CJ would have been the starter anyways. A better Offensive line. Yea we lost Aaron Kelley a great reciever but we have Jacoby Ford, and a Slew of high talented recievers. We get rodderick a talented multi demitional player. We get Sapp back and the most talent D-line in college football. A team that had a over blown ranking a year ago will most definatly turn some heads. the day Carolina Football is ahead of Clemson in ranking is and should be a embarrassing and motivational to run up the score and embarrass the critics of this high powered ACC team that is not getting respected. i don't see that Defense giving up much this season. CLEMSON is a very dangerous team & I want them to embarass the rest of the ACC!

Hmmm...If we were So. Cal. yeah we'd be ranked alright, but So. Cal is So. Cal. because they have earned a reputation through Championships. We've been hyped up a bit in the recent past and failed to live up to expectations, like the Bama game last year...This upcoming season will be different. Clemson will come in under the radar and earn a great reputation on the field. I'd rather earn something anyday than it just be given me. I think Tigernation is hungry, very hungry and that will make it different this season under Dabo and company. Go Tigers!!!
