Most physical Clemson game you've ever watched?

Jul 29, 2013, 11:51 PM

Me, the game against auburn in 2010 (in my limited viewing years, since 2007-8)

Was wondering what everyone else here thinks

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Clemson vs UGA in 87. AU in 2010 was very physical also. Clemson LSU last year and Clemson beating down Major Harris

I mean it speaks for itself.

Just ask Tajh what has been his most physical game at Clemson.

You said it was one sided.

Jul 30, 2013, 1:40 AM

He merely pointed out that it was physical both ways

Re: You said it was one sided.

Jul 30, 2013, 1:48 AM

I felt like they as a whole were more physical. Both defenses were physical, but our QB took more of a beating than their's did.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

NO FARMERS NO FOOD

I think it appears that way

Jul 30, 2013, 1:51 AM

Because our QB didn't throw it away under pressure and instead tried to make something with his feet. He took the majority of his hits while scrambling.

Now, a lot of those scrambles weren't designed and were due to pressure, but they also were in situations where he could've thrown it away, but by design did not.

But that's beside the point that the initial question was a bout a physical game, and both teams played a very hard-nosed physical game that night.

but the georgia games in 1980 and '81 were bruising battles, as well..at unc in '81 was pretty brutal, as well.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

1981 vs Georgia, however . . .

Jul 30, 2013, 7:04 AM

just about every game during the Ford era was physical, particularly the Georgia games.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

The 3 OT loss to Miami at the valley was a beater.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I remember quite a few physically imposing games in the 80's

Jul 30, 2013, 7:44 AM

where every play was violent car wreck. I remember one particualr game against Wake. Their players absolutely did not want to step back on the field.

However, the 2005 Miami game was incredibly hard hitting on both sides. Our TE had his spleen ruptured. THAT was bigtime football.

the Atlanta game with Alabama. Unfortunately, it was all 'one-sided"!!! They whipped our orange ####.

I'd like to hear the thoughts of Major Harris on this...

How much money do you figure we cost the self-annointed great one by pounding his Canadian football self into the ground.

There is also a kickoff late in 4th quarter. Reserve LB Scott completely blows up WV kick returner and as he walks towards sidelines like a deer that just got hit by a dump truck even the announcer said "He is going to need a map to find his bench"

God bless VHS!!

I Remember

Jul 30, 2013, 9:49 AM

A couple games against UNC.......The most physical one
though that I seen and suffered was the one against
Boston College, when Matt "effin" Ryan threw that
floater bomb ball to that wide open reciever in
Death Valley. That ball seemed to be up there forever
that night. That was a very physical game......
especially in the trenches.

Does Major Harris read this board? Or his mom? Just wondering how they would answer this one.
