Of the 5 sports I care about...
Football- Facilities are great. We are winning games and recruiting is top notch- A
Basketball - Facilities are improving although I am not happy that the project scope of LJ was cut. Need to win more games. Recruiting has improved a ton. B-
Baseball - Facilities are improving. Should be an elite program currently is not. Fundamentals of our players are not very good. C-
Soccer - Facilities just got a nice boost. Recruiting is doing very well. Won the ACC last year. A
Golf - Penley has been on cruise control for years. C-
Football, Golf, Soccer, and Baseball all have the tradition and fan support to be elite programs. Two of the four are on the right path.
Basketball does not have these things but IMO it is on the right path with the new facilities and the increase in recruiting over the past couple years. Brownell will be given 2 years to get us back to the dance if that does not happen then it will be time to make a change.

He has earned strong marks for continuing with the facilities upgrades but he has failed miserably on literally every coaching hire he's made.

Keep hearing that he is good at raising money but I think football performance and stability has way more to do with it than Dan Radaidkaoifvaich does..I get the creep factor from him, the same one I get from Don Munson. The used car salesman type feeling..No offense car folks..

Yes, though I want to see how he handles the baseball situation.
For basketball, I am more patient in that knowing our history and apparently how far behind LJC was, Brownell hasnt been able to compete with a full deck.
I have no problem with DRad's baseball actions last year. He was new to the job and you dont just show up and fire a HOF coach. However he started a process by having "The talk" with him and he needs to follow through.
But so far I think he has done well.

Are we competing for championships and poised for a National Championship run in football?? Since that is a yes then he is fine. For no other reason than I don't want to mess whatever is working for football up. We don't need anyone to shake the trees yet!

How can we be....He's done the same thing here with our basketball program that he did with the GT basketball program that got him run out of there....only now you can add our baseball team into the mix as well....and where is our women's softball team?
