Grill deaded, RIP good friend

May 5, 2014, 10:57 AM

After 15 yrs. It was one of the precious few things I still own that outdates my wife. All wives for whatever reason are on a clandestine mission to rid their hubby of all he owned pre-them.

Anywho, anyjuan got any good gas grill suggestions? Not sure if I get the $900 one or the $300 one. Need ample cooking surface and a side burner. Don't care about much else.

Here's a few replies to save ya'll some time:
CHARCOAL OR GTFO!
YETI AND A GREEN EGG YOU BROKE SUMBEETCH!
SMOKER EVEN IF YOU DON'T KNOW HER!

Weber has some nice grills, looked at Home Depot Sattudy,

May 5, 2014, 11:01 AM

but COTTAM $700! Eff that noise. Pops has an infrared grill, I think it is weird. I have not mastered that one yet.

The two things to look for in a gas grill

May 5, 2014, 11:02 AM

The WEIGHT of the grate, and the covers over the burners/drip system. Everything else is for show. The main thing that differentiates the expensive ones from the cheap ones, are what I mentioned above.

Here are the two things I look for in a gas grill:

May 5, 2014, 11:06 AM

1) it's not gas
2) it's charcoal

I've got one I'll give you. Gas bottle and all.

3.5 years old. Just replaced the cover. I simply don't use it enough. I rarely cook these days.

May 5, 2014, 11:13 AM [ in reply to clean the fur/skin off first tho*** ]

Pretty sure he's special forces now. We killed 6-8 rabbits one day and were camping. ####### forgot a knife. Navy seal was mad because he REALLY wanted to eat those rabbits. So he cleaned the rabbit with his teeth, gutted it with his hands, put it on a stick, roasted it on the fire for a good 30-45 seconds, and commenced eating.

PS. While rabbit hunting my old 1987 Toyota 4-Runner got stuck in a mud hole. He picked up the entire back end and pushed us out.

I pity the fool in Afghanistan who may have tried to fight him.
