When the future of your program hangs in the balance of fickle teenage boys. We get who we get and don’t who we don’t. All this stuff has me on edge during the “most wonderful time of the year.” Can’t wait til signing day to come and go!

Clemson has reached that point where a recruit or two are not gonna make or break a class.


Also, The Vol and Volnation are the kings of miss info. If Crouch goes elsewhere, it was his choice, his loss, we'll still be in the Playoff his whole time at Tennessee.

Fickle nature of teenage boys has been tilted in Clemson's favor for a few years now...with no immediate end in sight. If you want to wring your hands in worry, reflect on ten or so years ago.

recruiting over the last 16 years. There's been a handful of busts, but way way more 3 stars and 2 stars that became all stars.

I am not worried about Crouch. He would just be icing. I just hope we land another DT and 2 or 3 more OL.

There are no recruiting or preseason trophies

Championships are won during the season by the players on our team. We are selective and we don't offer 10x the number of scholarships available, like SEC teams. Any coaching staff that can turn a walk-on, no-star ex-HS quarterback into a Big Game Hunter can work magic with anyone and has my trust. These new superstars that are joining in our next recruiting class will bolster those superstars we recruited the last 3-4 years.

Recruiting is an interesting distraction, but nothing more. I would be concerned if we were recruiting like we were during the Tommy Bowden years. But, we're not. We're always in the top 10, reloading for championships.
