Yes. Not the prettiest area of WV. Some breathtaking areas of the state, but Morgantown ain't one of them. No comparison to Clemson.

Probably just a career move. If you want to eventually be president of a large r1 you need to keep moving up. Though why anyone would ever want to be university president is beyond me.

Currently … I can think of almost a million ($) reasons he left WVU. His forte must be glad-handing and fundraising 'cause it sure ain't administration. He leaves that to the "leftists" that permeate his so-called Executive Management Team … and they make it tough to be a conservative at CU. They keep their suppression of conservative students very quiet. Uh … they suppress their suppression of them. LOL!

I have had the chance to meet him several times and he seemed more excited about meeting me, than me meeting him. I understand his job is to raise money for the University. However, when he is taking time to come over to me and introduce himself, ask my son what grade he is in, and encouraging him to study hard so he can see him at Clemson in 10yrs....it makes writing that check a little easier.

It was clearly a good career move, but he also seems like the type to have given a great deal of thought to what would be the best environment for his family.
