Were we ever that bad????

I watched some of the BC/Wake farce of a game last night. I thought of the days when we seemed to struggle with BOTH of those teams. We are some much better than both of them put together now. Wow - what happened to those 2 schools? They pretty much suck at football. I couldn't stay awake watching that game. It was pitiful watching their performance.

Thank you Dabo, Morris, And Brent for making us so much better now.

WF could still give us fits with their option-y stuff and BC looks to be tougher now than in recent years, but I agree, it is hard to remember how we used to struggle with both of those teams. Different personnel, different teams.

We have recruited better and our conditioning, game plan,schemes, coaching,etc. are better. BC and Wake have gone downhill in these areas.

We haven't never really struggled with Wake,sure they beat us a few times.But struggle I don't remember that.BC yea when Matt Ryan was there but hey the Eagles were good

I remember beating them in 2011 with a field goal that bounced off the bottom rail of the posts to clench the Atlantic Division. We had a great season that year when we beat VT twice, won the ACC title game for the first time in 20 years and the first 10 win season since 1990.

But even as strong of a season we had that year, we still barely won against WF.

WF was a LOT better than this back in 2006-2008. Clemson still beat them 2 out of 3 of those years.

BC was better back during the same time period when they had Matt Ryan.
